Q: I can’t find my suburb or address when I go through the online listing?

Q: I am part way through a listing, can I save it and finish later?

Yes you can. Simply click the “submit” button at the bottom of any of the details page and you will save your listing as a draft. When you come back you can just start from where you left off.


Q: How do I arrange a contract of sale?

If you don’t have your own solicitor then select the solicitor option in our listing process and a qualified solicitor will call you to arrange a contract. It is that simple. Begin listing now!

Q: Can I get someone to write the listing for me?

Q: Agents say they can sell my property better than me, is this true?

Q: What happens if after 6 months I can’t sell my property?

We will keep your property listed until it sells. That is our guarantee.

Q: Can I list with buyMyplace and an agent?

You can still list your property with us even if it is listed with an agent. If you have an exclusive agreement with an agent we have a disclaimer available to download saying that if you find a buyer you are not required to pay the commission.

Q: What if the agent won’t sign the amendment to agreement?

You really need to ask why not? An agent has nothing to lose by signing the agreement and you have everything to gain. Remember we don’t ask you to sign any contracts. We believe you should have full control, not us. So why does an agent need this?

Q: I don’t want people to see my phone number on the advertisement, can I hide it?

Yes. You will need an email address so people can contact you though. Contact the office on 1300 289 697 and we can hide your contact number from buyers.

Q: How do I determine the value of my property?

We have a online report which will give you a guide on the value of your house. Depending on which campaign you choose this may be included in your price. If you want we can also put you in touch with a registered property valuer. They will charge extra for this service. Click here to order a report

Q. Which photo is displayed as my primary photo?

The first photo that you upload to your listing will be used as the primary photo.

Q. How do I upload photos?

Click browse, navigate to where your photos are on your computer, click open, then click ‘upload photos’.

Q. What’s the difference between a Active listing and an Draft listing?

Active listing means your property will be visible to everyone right away. A Draft Listing stores your listing in the system where no one can see it while you are finalising your preparations to sell your property. Once the final touches have been made to your property you can then change your draft into an active listing.

Q. How long is my listing on BuyMyplace for?

Your property is advertised on buyMyplace until it is sold. That is our guarantee.

Q. Why isn’t my listing appearing on the map?

We use Google maps technology. Your property will only show up if it is available on maps.google.au. You must show the full property address as it states on your council rates notices.

Q. How long before the photographer comes to take photographs?

If included in your campaign a photographer should contact you within 3-5 business days to arrange a time with you to come and see your property. Once taken, the photographs can take up to 72 hours to be sent through, however it generally happens much quicker.

Q: How long does it take to get the for sale board up?

It takes anywhere between 3-5 business days for For Sale board to be delivered.

*Professional & Ultimate Exposure campaigns:

  • Metro Areas: your board will be installed within 3-4 business days
  • Regional Areas: your board will be sent via courier within 5 business days for self-installation

Q: What additional websites do you list our property?

We have an affiliate with a few different websites including www.realestate.com.au, www.Domain.com.au and a few others. Please note, that your listing will not go live on any third party websites without completing and returning the buyMyplace compliance documents.

Q: What are the buyMyplace Compliance Documents?

The buyMyplace compliance documents are automatically emailed to you once you purchase a buyMyplace package. The documents simply give us permission to advertise the property on your behalf. You must complete the documents and return them with a copy of the vendors ID and a council rates notice. Once we have these documents and your online listing is complete the buyMyplace staff will confirm you comply and promptly get your listing advertise onto all affiliated third party websites.

Q: How do we pay for additional products and campaigns like the Vendor Advocacy Services?

These are paid separately and can  be done via your User Dashboard or over the phone by calling 1300 289 697. Once you purchase an upgrade, we will be informed and have your upgrade ordered as soon as possible.

Q: Can we upgrade our campaign after we have already bought one?

Yes. Simply call 1300 289 697. Keep in mind if you have a for sale board already installed then you may have to pay for another board to be installed if, for example, you wish to move from a standard board to a photographic board.

Q: Can we purchase any extra products to help us in the sale of our property?

Absolutely. Simply call 1300 289 697 and we can supply you with everything from Open Inspection boards through to For Sale Signs, Professional Brochures or Floor plans.

Q: Is it possible to mix and match components of a campaign?

Yes. Call 1300 2897 697 and ask for a quote on what you want. Doing it this way may be a little more expensive, however we can always deliver what you want for your property. That is why we are here!

Q. I have agents calling me, what can I do?

If an agent calls you to try and get you to sell your property through them they have breached your privacy and our Terms and Conditions of Website Use. All you need do is get their contact details and report them to buyMyplace. We would also encourage you to report them to the privacy commission for a breach of your privacy. This type of activity is called spamming and is illegal.
