Listing and selling our property through buymyplace was both easy and professional. Customer service was always prompt and helpful, from the initial listing and installation of sale sign through to updating details on our websites.

We utilised the Vendor Advocacy Package. We did have some Real Estate Agents hounding us to list with them also but one phone call to buymyplace sorted everything out immediately, no more annoying phone calls.
 
It really isn't any harder than selling with an agent, especially with the added support and knowledge that buymyplace provides. The only difference is that during Open Homes you stay and talk with buyers instead of taking a walk around the block. We decided to give the private real estate selling thing a go for four weeks before listing with an agent if we didn't have any luck, as we need to sell our property in less than 2 months. 

We chose "buy my place", as everything was mapped out very simply and took the uncertainty out of selling our property privately.  We also had the help of a great conveyancer, who was extremely helpful with the legalities and dealing with the banks. 

We had our first inspection 2 weeks after listing the property, and that same afternoon we had an offer, and had sold it the next morning.  As all negotiations are done without a middleman, it cut out the back and forward from owner through the agent to the buyer, and makes the whole processes easier and quicker.  Also, the feedback from the buyer, was that he felt it was a lot better dealing with the seller direct, as we knew everything about our property and was upfront and truthful with him.  I would never use an agent again to sell my home, as they don't really do anything, but take a lot!!!

Having seen For Sale Boards listing other properties we were pleased to enlist the services of Buy My Place and found everyone to be most helpful, courteous and prompt. Our unit had been very poorly managed by our real estate agent. When we decided to put it on the market, we didn’t want to have our managing agent selling the property for two reasons:

1) We were concerned that the agent’s poor property management would be a reflection on how the property would be presented and sold;

I highly recommend buymyplace.com.au.  The staff are very approachable, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.  The process was simple and very effective!  From the time I made contact with buymyplace to the time my property was sold was circa 3 weeks! 

The house effectively sold after the first open house.

It's not at all difficult and I honestly think that the best person to sell your house is you because you've lived there, you know what all the positives are and you're the one who will be able to convey all this to the interested parties. Real estate agents usually just ask us those kind of questions and replay them back to the buyer! So money well spent, and a lot of money saved!

After attending many inspections whilst looking to buy I found the agents who would conduct the open homes not to be very helpful or cooperative, this is when I realised I could do it myself.  I was surprised how easy it was and the feedback from prosepective purchaser was great and how happy they were to deal directly with the owner.  It also gave me control of how I was able to sell my home and show off the best features and do have inspections that suited me not the agent.  BuyMyplace were very helpful through all of the stages of the selling process.

For sale by owner is an easy and simple way of selling property, why pay an agent to do it.  As the owner, we feel that we are the ones that do all the hard work and the agent walks in has it easy. 

We found that selling the property ourselves, prospective purchasers were a lot more comfortable dealing directly with us rather than through an agent.  We used this process selling a previous property in NZ and would think of this the only way to buy and sell real estate. 

The "For Sale By Owner" process is a much more relaxed way of being able to sell our home.  We didn’t have to worry about real estate agents hounding us or following up on them.  We did have the property originally listed with an agent however their commission vs service was not justifiable. 

In the period they had the property only 2 groups came through.  When we listed with buyMyplace, we were in control of the price we wanted and the advertising and in total had 10 groups through!  We are so excited about having sold our home and moving onto the next stage of our adventure which will hopefully include purchasing a motor home and travelling around the country. 

Once got welcome book from buyMyplace the process was easy to follow. I had many people though the property and finally agreed on a sale price and quick settlement. Selling the property was very easy, the buyMyplace staff were always very helpful.  I would use this service again and recommend it to others considering to sell privately.

Overall we found the process very straightforward.  The conveyancer is taking care of all the paperwork and legal details so hopefully settlement will run smoothly.  The welcome pack from BuyMyPlace was full of useful information and contained checklists so nothing was omitted.

It was great to have professional photos taken as they really do make a difference to first impressions.
We took the time to ‘de-clutter’ and stored some of our belongings, prior to putting our property on the market to ensure prospective buyers could envisage themselves living there.  We also removed personal items from view, photos etc.

We also took a few weeks to ensure that it was in the best condition possible – we cleaned and undertook some minor works ie touching up paint, adding new plants to the garden area, new handles to cupboards, new taps in the sinks etc.

I would say that you get out what you put in.  If you’re not prepared to put in the effort then there is no point in selling yourself.  We really took the time to ensure that our home was clean and tidy and as I undertook the inspections, I dressed and acted in a friendly and professional manner.

We also took the time to create some A4 brochures which I handed out at the inspections and included the professional photographs, listing details and the size of the property along with strata fees, rates, asking price etc so that everyone who visited had everything to hand.

Through buyMyplace we sold for $30,000 more than what the agent quoted as well as saving over $12,000  in commissions. This is a total of over $42,000!!! No small change for a little home preparation and using the buyMyplace method.

Using buyMyplace was straightforward and easy to understand. I knew I wouldn’t have any problems selling it myself, and thought paying money to a real estate agent was unnecessary.

I would definitely use buyMyplace again. Everyone that came through my property was very happy to deal with myself and preferred it to having to deal with an agent.

Wednesday Afternoon 5.30ish - I was going to call Lisa to follow up but she called us and put in a 3rd offer - we accepted.
Friday Evening 6.30 - we all had signed contracts and a glass of bubbles.
We sold in 5 days, unconditional in 14 days, settlement in 45 - which suited all of us perfectly.  We got the price we wanted and saved $10,000's in commissions.

Some good news. We have sold my house through your web site. This is how it all unfolded. The For Sale sign arrived and was installed on the Saturday morning. We had a enquiry from one of the parties that attended that auction ,which was a mortgagee in possession scenario.

The contracts were exchanged today. The settlement date is only for three weeks which suits us fine as we are moving into a brand new home on the 24th June. Why pay thousands of dollars to a real agent when you don't have to! After 18 months we decided that we wanted to sell our vacant block of land.
